This Geri-Chair Magnetic Alarm System comes with an alarm, bracket, and belt sized to fit most geri-chairs.

Purpose
Skil-Care's Geri-Chair Alarm alerts caregivers when a resident has left or fallen from the geri-chair or bed.

Cautions
1. The Geri-Chair Alarm is not a substitute for proper supervision. Fall-risk and wander-risk residents should be monitored regularly.
2. Check battery each time alarm is used. This is done by setting alarm to high or low volume position and removing magnet. If alarm is weak or fails to sound, replace 9-volt battery.
3. LED should glow when alarm is turned on. If LED fails to glow, replace battery.
4. Periodically check clip to make certain it is attached to resident's clothing.
5. Periodically check to make certain that resident has not removed battery.

Geri-Chair Installation
1. Secure belt with mounting bracket to geri-chair backrest. Make certain that the buckle and the mounting bracket are behind the backrest.
2. Install enclosed 9-volt battery
3. Secure alarm unit to mounting bracket by pressing Velcro strips together.
4. Set alarm on high or low volume.
5. Adjust cord to desired length and attach clip to resident's clothing.

Bed Installation and Use
1. The Geri-Chair Alarm is attached to the headboard by means of Velcro strip (included). Remove the backing from the strip and attach it to the upper left or right side of the headboard.
2. Attach clip to resident's pajama and adjust cord to desired length.
3. Set alarm to high or low volume.

Important Notices
1. To extend battery life, place switch in "Off" position when alarm is not in use.
2. Test battery before each use. If alarm is weak or does not sound, replace with 9-volt battery.
