Once is put together it is wonderful. The wheels have a good hold they run smoothly when unlocked. the bed is really functional.
the problem is to get to this point. The assemble instructions do not inform you where you can find all cables some are hidden. you need a screwdriver to find them under some plastic covers either in the head or foot board. the instruction booklet shows how to arrange the connections with numbers but there are no numbers in the actual connection so you can match what it is shown in the instructions. It takes a while to know what to do. Very important let everybody know the bed is HEAVY UPS driver doped the the box in the parking lot drivers are not allowed to come inside. In my case I had to bring this huge 300 pounds box from the 1st to the 5th floor. I had to call a moving company to put the box in the elevator and pull it into my apartment. For this I had to pay a fee for 2 guys. To assembly is difficult you must have another STRONG person all pieces are heavy. I had a 6 foot neighbor to help me turn the bed once is assembled.
A must tell you again once is all in place it is a GREAT item for your loved one. Mine is 97 years old and she recently had a brain hemorrhage. Also let all know this type of bed is not offered in the medical supply stores. Ordering from Amazon is great and prompt delivery is always appreciated. Just be prepared when it arrives.

Good fit for a small woman
This is wonderful for my 91 year old Mother. She is able to adjust the bed for comfort and to assist with getting in and out of bed. At 4 ft. 10.in it is wonderful to be able to adjust the bed lower.

Fall risk greatly reduced.
My 91 year old Mom is a dementia patient in an assisted living center and fell out of her bed 4 times in the past two months. Fortunately she didn’t break anything, but if it kept happening she most likely would have. State law will not allow the use of bed rails. This bed was the answer. Lowers to 7” off the floor so she will just roll out of the bed onto the floor. Highly recommended. Takes about two hours to assemble. One person can put it together, but would recommend two.

A little heavy for a single 70 year old woman to get off the palette and put together .
My handicap sister can now get in and out of bed without assistants. She is very short normal beds are too high.
