Provides added comfort and cushioning to any chair. 

Typically, pressure sores are formed when capillary blood flow is impeded which occurs when an individual sits on a hard surface. In addition, the same exposure to pressure sores also exists in the clavicle or back area. In a standard wheelchair scenario, a cushion is used without a foam back support. Also, many cushions aren’t provided with tie straps on the cushion, therefore allowing the cushion and or patient to slide off the wheelchair.

This product was designed to provide pressure relief in both the back and seat and is
available in two setups, namely with the gel cushions the other setup with a foam back without the cushions, but will accept an existing wheelchair cushion sized 18”x16”x4” or smaller or 16”x16”x4 or smaller. In the event that a wheelchair cushion is already available at the facility, models can be purchased with only the foam back support and seat pocket which can accept any wheelchair cushion shown above.

Easy to Use:
Backrest with Seat Combo Models
Place the seat on the chair with the cushion corresponding to the seat with the non skid surface facing down, and the foam support against the backrest of the wheelchair. Open the side release buckle and place around the top of the chair.

Backrest Only Models
Place the available cushion in the seat pocket facing seat up. Note that the non skid surface is the bottom. Open the side release buckle and place around the top of the chair.

Easy Care:
With the seat cushion and backrest foam insert removed the stretch cover is launderable using temperatures below 180°F(82°C). If bleach is used, assure that it is diluted or mild.

The Gel X-Cushion models are heat sealed and can be cleaned with mild detergent or spray and wipe cleaner.
