I love my new Overlay Mattress!

Not meant for patients who lost of lot of weight

This mattress may be OK for regular patient who are required to spend some recovery time in bed after a surgery or other medical intervention that require a short period of time in bed. However, it will not work for cancer patients who lost a lot of weight. My husband weighs now 115 lbs, he is skin and bones. With this mattress inflated below the soft level indicated by the pump he feels that his bones protrude through his skin even more which causes even more pain and discomfort. He also said that he can feel every individual air pocket pressing against his nerves which in return causes more pain.

Also no returns for opened products, even though we tested this overlay mattress covered with a blanket.

On another note the pics are deceiving. It looks as though the upper part of the mattress is covered with some shiny soft cloth lining, which is not the case. The mattress is 100% plastic on both sides. Same type of plastic used for inflatable beach toys, so it will also have a smell.

The customer services lack empathy and their chatting system is tricky. I chatted with Emily, who according to the title was a registered nurse. But it turned out that it was just an AI bot, saying that "she" worked with cancer patients in the past, etc, etc. The irony is that the AI bot had more empathy than the human customer representatives.
